Volunteers: Project Mentor

Last month, Columbus Public Schools announced a major initiative, Project Mentor.

CPS is working in conjunction with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio to provide mentors for 1,000 8th graders. Mentors will be screened and receive training before being paired with a CPS student, and mentors will meet with their student for one hour each week, either before or after the school day.

Are you interested? If so, then you can get additional information about Project Mentor and the opportunity to work with a CPS student by calling 839-KIDS or by visiting www.projectmentorcolumbus.org.
